Common questions

What is the selection committee?

The selection committee is the NCAA Division I Basketball Committee. Its 12 members pick the at-large teams, seed all 76 teams, and place them in the bracket for March Madness.

Can a committee member vote for their own school?

No. Committee members may not vote for their own school's team, and they may not monitor the league they represent. Every other pick is made by secret ballot.
